A Brief Introduction to Single Molecular Magnets
نویسنده
چکیده
Single Molecular Magnets(SMM), has attracted much interest. Their large spin and quantum behavior at a mesoscopic scale, indicates rich physics behind these unusual phenomena as well as prospective application values. In this article, quantum tunneling magnetization (QTM), the origin of the magnetism in SMM, is discussed. Then it is followed by two typical cases: integer spin SMM and 1/2 spin SMM.

Introduction to Single Molecular Magnet
Single Molecular Magnets(SMMs) have become attractive prospect in the last few years because of their unique quantum properties. These complexes exhibit magnetization hysteresis loops and temperature independence of the relaxation time at low temperatures indicating rich physics behind them. Phenomena of quantum tunneling and magnetization relaxation are discussed in this paper. Origin of the m...
متن کاملMagnetic Dynamics of Nanoscale Magnets: From Classical to Quantum
The various uncommon properties of magnetic nanoparticles (Stoner nanoparticles) and molecular magnets have attracted much attention in industry as well as in the academic community. In this review we begin with going through important experiments in this field and possible applications of these materials. Then we introduce the theoretic models currently used for Stoner nanoparticles and molecu...
متن کاملNMR and μSR in Highly Frustrated Magnets
Hereafter we shall present a brief overview on some of the most significant achievements obtained by means of NMR and μSR techniques in highly frustrated magnets. First the basic quantities measured by the two techniques will be presented and their connection to the microscopic static and dynamical spin susceptibility recalled. Then the main findings will be outlined, starting from the most sim...
متن کاملAbsence of spin superradiance in resonatorless magnets
A spin system is considered with a Hamiltonian typical of molecular magnets, having dipole-dipole interactions and a single-site magnetic anisotropy. In addition, spin interactions through the common radiation field are included. A fully quantummechanical derivation of the collective radiation rate is presented. An effective narrowing of the dipole-dipole attenuation, due to high spin polarizat...
